Purpose of the Role  Head of equity strategy and research  for a reknown Swiss private bank. Lead Porfolio Manager for equity strategies (special mandates, actively managed certificates, etc.) Voting member and key input provider to the Bank Asset Allocation committee. Meet with existing and prospective clients. Act as an ambassador for the bank in traditional and socialmedia.   Job description/ key responsibilities: Equity research - Leadership on equity committee and equity lists -Ensure the smooth running of the committee and coordinate input from equity committee members. Challenge entry and exit decisions. Monitor analysts' input and performance. Act as a coach for the equity analysts team -Monitoring of KPIs and effective communication with senior management - Think strategically to assess and cover our clients’ needs (definition of the investment universe, investment process and output) - Provide investment advisors with the necessary material to promote recommendations to internal and external clients - Liaise with the Head of Advisory to monitor the adequacy of the list with the needs of the front office - Follow-up on recommended stocks - Cover ad-hoc requests Portfolio Management - Direct management and supervision of the bank's equity AMCs (Actively managed certificates) - Design and develop new AMC strategies - Manage special equity mandates - Performance analysis and reporting - Monitoring and control of portfolios asset allocation.   Input to Asset Allocation committee - Voting members at the Monthly Asset Allocation committee - Responsible for the equity input the Asset Allocation committee (top-down views) - Recommendation of preferences (countries, sectors) within the equity universe Business development - Provide support to bankers to retain and develop clients -Act as an ambassador for the bank in traditional (press, TV, radio) and social media (blog, Linkedin, twitter, etc.). Education: University degree in economics, finance or equivalent; CFA or CIIA is a plus. Professional Experience required: -15 years in a Equity research or Equity Fund/Portfolio Management position. - Strong fundamental equity research background and market experience. - Passion for financial markets. Soft skills: -Team-oriented and client focused working approach. - Motivated self-starter with a passion for investment. - Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality. - Think outside of the box. Technical skills: - Excellent analytical skills with proven experience in equity strategy and idea generation -Portfolio construction and client interaction. -Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint) - Solid knowledge in financial information systems (Bloomberg, Factset). - Experience with G2 and quantitative tools is a plus. Languages: Fluent in English and French, spoken and written; Spanish or Portuguese an asset
