Middle Office Officer

For one of our clients, a Swiss private bank, we are actively seeking an experienced Middle Office Officer.
You will be responsible for the following activities
Cash & Safe activities:
- Daily control of the cash and the reserve
- Daily management of cash transactions in CHF and foreign currencies
- Management of physical securities, envelopes, precious metals and the safe
Cash activities:
- Supplier invoices, tracking and monitoring of cash receipts
- Issuing and cashing cheques
- Passing of correspondent charges
- Drafting and validation of SWIFT and printing of SWIFT/SIC messages
- Cash reconciliation and reporting, monitoring and analysis of suspense and rejected internal LSV accounts
- Payment investigations and management of correspondent/Compliance/RM requests
Securities activities:
- Intervention on DFP/RFP transactions (outgoing and incoming securities), transfer/change of custodians and opening of tickets
- Management of operational correspondence from custodians
- Second level reconciliation of securities and monitoring of suspense
- Analysis of files produced by the Back-Offices
- Claiming manual statements from custodians/transfer agents
Tax & Legal activities :
- SWX reporting, LIMF/FINFRAG
Credit Cards :
- Management of credit card applications and prepaid cards
Control AML Transactions activities:
- Control of AML transactions
- Liaison with the Front Office on KYC/AML and AML compliance issues
- Gathering of information necessary to respond to various requests from the authorities
- Management of compliance alerts, identifying suspicious data
Team Support activities:
- Management of operational requests
- Monitoring of pending transactions
- Post-release testing of resolved tickets
Your profile:
- Proven experience as a Middle Office Officer: minimum 5 years
- Excellent command of French (mother tongue or C1)
- Very good command of English (B2), German an asset (B2)
- Mastery of the Avaloq system
- Excellent communication skills
- Solution-oriented, organised and rigorous
- Able to adapt to multiple demands and define priorities
- Knowledge in the following areas: cash payments, cash & securities reconciliations, corporate actions, settlements, transfers.
