Role Overview
For one of our clients, a well-established private bank based in Geneva, we are looking for an experienced Investment Advisor to join its Investment Advisory team. This is a cross-asset role with a strong equity focus, involving close collaboration with Relationship Managers to deliver tailored investment and financing solutions to sophisticated HNW and UHNW clients, with a particular focus on Spanish-speaking clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients across asset classes, with a strong focus on equities, while also covering fixed income, structured products, funds, FX and alternative investments, in close coordination with Relationship Managers.
- Develop and articulate equity investment ideas, portfolio strategies and asset allocation recommendations aligned with clients’ objectives, risk profiles and prevailing market conditions.
- Support the structuring and execution of bespoke financing solutions, including acquisition financing and asset-backed lending, based on client needs.
- Build financial models, valuations and sensitivity analyses to support investment proposals and financing transactions.
- Conduct in-depth financial, market and strategic analyses to underpin high-quality, tailored advisory recommendations.
- Prepare and present investment proposals, pitch books and supporting documentation for both internal committees and client meetings.
- Actively participate in client meetings to present equity ideas, investment views, financing solutions and portfolio strategies.
- Support senior bankers in the development and management client relationships, contributing to business growth and long-term partnerships.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, notably Risk, Credit and Legal teams, as well as external partners.
- Stay up to date with equity markets, cross-asset developments, macroeconomic trends and regulatory changes impacting client portfolios.
Profile
- 4–8 years of experience in Investment Advisory, Equity Advisory role within Private Banking or Wealth Management.
- CFA, CIIA or equivalent certification is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of equity markets and equity investment strategies.
- Solid cross-asset knowledge across fixed income, structured products, funds, FX and alternatives.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of financing structures, lending solutions and associated risk considerations.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with demanding HNW and UHNW clients.
- Client-centric mindset, focused on delivering pragmatic, high-quality and bespoke solutions.
- Comfortable acting as a trusted advisor alongside senior Relationship Managers.
- Fluent Spanish (mandatory) and English, French is a strong asset.
